A Typical Day at the 夏季舞蹈集训

The day begins in one of Juilliard's six large studios with a ballet technique, 黑, 或者快板类, followed by partnering or 现代. 午饭后, dancers take two additional classes that vary by day and include yoga, 嘻哈, 即兴创作, 现代, 以及其他舞蹈工作坊. In addition to the daily technique classes, every dancer participates in evening rehearsals of new choreography and repertoire. These pieces are shown on the final day in a showing for family and friends.

Teachers include members of the Juilliard College 跳舞 Division faculty as well as renowned guest artists.

Students may stay in the Meredith Willson Residence Hall, adjacent to the Juilliard School building, and eat in the Juilliard cafeteria, 提供全套服务的餐厅. Students living in the residence hall are supervised by live-in resident hall staff.

There is also time to see New York City. On free evenings and weekends, the dancers can opt to attend many activities supervised by the residence hall hosts, 包括百老汇演出, 在附近的中央公园散步, 电影, and free outdoor performances at 林肯中心.
